Andy:  No, Floyd, that wasn't Calvin Coolidge that said that, it was Mark Twain.

Andy:  I don't know, Floyd.

Floyd:  Well, he musta said something, or he wouldn't have been President.

I wonder if the GRIFFITH writers would've written that today?  After 5 years, I'm still waiting for GWB to say something... Constitutional.

Naw, the "Andy Griffith Show" writers wouldn't use a gag like that today. For one thing, about 98% of the 2006 audience doesn't have any idea who Calvin Coolidge was.
