When you hand something to someone to read and they have difficulty focusing their eyes on it: "Oh, short eyeballs, eh?".
Another line that I have been hoping to have occasion to use, though it requires the presence of a Stooge aficionado to be appreciated; to be uttered upon arriving at a place for which one has been searching:"Well, as there's no other place around the place, I reckon this must be the place—I reckon! Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk!" (Uncivil Warriors and one other short, I don't recall which).
This isn't a Stooges line used in everyday life, but it shows the influence of Stooges in everyday speech. I was reminded of this by the time of year it is.I attended a Christian school where we learned about the birth of Jesus and who all the "major players" were. I went home and taught my brothers, who were all much too young for school. Our mother had decorated the house with plastic window decorations depicting the manger scene, the Wise Men, the shepherds, the angels and so on. I pointed to each scene and told my brothers who the people were. Our mother walked in. My middle brother was excited to have learned this, and he did as I did, pointing to each window scene and naming everyone for our mother. "And these," he said as he pointed to the Magi, "are the Three Wise Guys." That's probably why Christmas was never quite the same for me after that, because of the image in my mind.
