Topic: Would a Three Stooges fan film be insulting to fans?

I'm studying Film and I'm a writer as a hobby. I've often considered making a Three Stooges fan film as a tribute to the boys, there were several plot ideas I came up with, most were modern takes on them. I was curious if you fellow stoogemaniacs would be offended by the idea.

I wouldn't be offended. You'll find how difficult comedy really IS, especially slapstick.

BTW, I studied film in high school and then in college, except back when I made films, I actually used film!

A movie that is a tribute or based on a popular franchise, like Star Wars.

One of the ideas i came up with would have been a college comedy like Animal House, but i thought Stooge fans wouldn't like the idea of the boys being in college. Although there has never been a 3 Stooges fan film, or a  fan film festival.
