The Three Stooges Journal staff (Frank)confirmed her death with her niece, then obtained an extract of her death certificate, the details of which are below. After Vernon died in 1963, she remarried someone named Friend, hence her last name. Even though we now know her Social Security number, death info from 2014 forward is not yet accessible from the Social Security Death Index SSDI, so this is all we have. Anyone who wants further proof can always pay and order an official death certificate
