Radio personality Casey Kasem has passed away after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He is best known for hosting the radio shows American Top 40, Casey's Top 40, and other shows. Kasem was also best remembered as the voice of Shaggy on the Scooby-Doo cartoon series. His sign-off phrase on his radio shows was "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

Last of a now dead breed. Freed, Clark, Kasem. Apparently there was a big dispute between Casey's Amazonian bombshell of a wife Jean and his family. When his health went south she cut them off from all contact with him.

Wonder if Premiere Radio Networks will continue to rerun the classic AT40 '70s shows. Hope so. Who owns the ABC-era shows from the '80s?

Good question. My guess would be whomever owns ABC now. Weren't they gobbled up by a conglomerate?

ABC has been a division of Disney since 1996.
