Has anyone read these? Both came out not too long ago and seem intriguing.

MGM: Hollywood's Greatest Backlot (lots of previews)

^ Must be selling well -- on back-order with most online retailers and third party prices on Amazon are $150+. Half.com is much cheaper, but not many listed.

Harlow in Hollywood: The Blonde Bombshell in the Glamour Capital, 1928-1937

The last film related book I read was VERNON DENT: STOOGE HEAVY, which everybody here should read.  Haven't read any film related books since.  I'm due for another one.

Got the Harlow book. It's lavishly produced and looks like a must buy for anyone interested in arguably the most fascinating actress of the 1930's.

Interestingly, the book has a picture of the GRAND HOTEL ledger from the premiere of GRAND HOTEL... various luminaries signed the ledger when they arrived at the Hollywood premiere of that movie... Harlow signed the ledger... along with what looks like an Edward L Bernds, if I'm reading the signature correctly.
