They did it first and that version sucked as well. A bad song is a bad song no matter who sings it and "Muskrat Love" is one lousy song!

I didn't know who blue oyster cult was, but after Fast Times at Ridgemont High came out, i did. I then when out shortly after and bought one of their albums.

If there's any music nut here who doesn't check out www.rateyourmusic.com, go over there right now. It's to music what imdb is to movies. I've found some great stuff from this stuff along with some disappointments too (really, what's the obssession with The Velvet Underground)?

Anyway, here's a link to the top 100 albums of the 70's according to actual voters on this site, who are regular people like you and me. So what you get here is a good mix of classic rock hippies who priase the early 70's stuff along with the punk/alternative/new wave hipsters who would lead you to believe LONDON CALLING is better than your first orgasm. Most 70's lists tend to be swayed towards one or the other, but this one has a nice balance, I think (i.e. Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull don't get snubbed all that badly, and the classic Rainbow Rising is 90 as I type this).

Curly4444, while I gave many spins to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, it remains a soundtrack with previously released material and a compilation of artists, so I'm sticking with original material by the same artist/group for my selections:

Put down the crack pipe son, it's harming your ability to think straight.

NEWS OF THE WORLD has some strong tracks on it, I love "All Dead, All Dead" and "Sheer Heart Attack," but man, the first two tracks (and we ALL know what they are), have been so over played at sporting events they have lost their charm.

QUEEN II is an amazing album and I put the side II medley in the same league with ABBEY ROAD's medley.

Yeah, i just love All Dead, All Dead so much!! What about Spread Your Wings, and Who Needs You, also great songs. News of the world has 6 songs i like, and queen II there is only 2 or 3 real good ones.

I should've mentioned "Spread Your Wings" because that is a great song.

I've heard "Who Needs You" since I've heard the entire album, but I honestly can't remember how it goes. I guess it just hasn't stuck with me.
