Richard Devon died February 26 in Mill Valley CA, age 84. Devon played the 'Maharajah of Karengore' in
THE THREE STOOGES GO AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAZE (1963).
A very busy character actor in the '50s, '60s and '70s, Richard was one of those recognizable faces whose name you never knew. He was frequently cast as gunslingers (BONANZA, YANCY DERRINGER, THE RIFLEMAN) and westerns were his primary genre of work. But he was also adeptly at home playing foreign dignitaries, syndicate types, police detectives, etc. (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, THE FUGITIVE, MANNIX).
