Wow, I had no idea he was that old. 97 is a pretty darn good run.

He was a great actor, loved him in On The Waterfront and Patton.

I always thought Karl would have made good Shemp in a bio pic just on his face alone.

I hope I don't live to see 97, yuck. I can only imagine what his final 10 years or so were like. Anyway, he was a good actor and the only reason to watch The Streets of San Francisco, not to mention his great turn in A Streetcar Named Desire.
