When Red Morgan and his gang invade Peaceful Gulch, the local editor prints a picture of the Stooges (who are wanted for vagrancy) as three famous marshals coming to clean up the town. When the Stooges show up in town, Red and his gang are worried until they find out the Stooges are just tramps, but when the gang tries to get them the Stooges manage to kncok them out instead. The boys get hired to guard the bank, but when Morgan and his gang rob it anyway, it's up to the Stooges to get the gold back!

- Disappearing Cloth
When Curly heads back to the shack after the bad guys get caught in the hidden bear traps, you can see something hanging out of the back of his pants. Then when he walks in the shack, there's nothing on the back of his pants.
- Early Water Stains
When Moe turns over while the sheriff is opening the bottle, Moe has water all over him, but he hasn't gotten sprayed by the sheriff's bottle yet.
- Repeated Expression
When Curly peers his head out of the stove, his eyes wander around the room then he sees Red Morgan and his assistant. Then the camera shows a close-up of Curly and he does the whole "eyes-wander-around-then-see-RedĀ gag again.
- Visible Bandage
You can see a bandage on the back of Curly's neck during the film.
- Visible Wire
You can see the wire that pulls off the sheriff's toupee at the beginning.
- Where Did The Bad Guys Go?
The bad guys are yelling in pain after they step into the bear traps that were set by the Stooges. After Curly runs back into the cabin for the hidden money, and Red Morgan (Bud Jamison) and accomplice come in, you can't hear the bad guys yelling any longer, even though they are supposedly right outside the cabin.
- Wrong Voice?
When the bad guys are yelling in pain after stepping in the bear traps, it sounds like you can hear Curly yelling along during one part for some reason.

Just saw this short on AMC....hadn't seen it in a long time.It was actually funnier than I remembered it.Bud Jamison in particular gives a fine performance. The medicine pitch routine at the start was funny, as wasthe saloon sequence. The second half of the film loses some steamthough.3 pokesp.s. The brunette dance partner is quite the babe!

You are right sir! Great Stooge western and Bud Jamison is great in it. If only he would've played more villains types and more western types- not meaning that I'd rather see less of his other Stooge short type characters!Warning to all you rug-cutters- never dance near Curly when he's dancing with a beer mug in his hand.ISLIPP- when Curly spills his beer. ®2001Edited by - ISLIPP on 8/10/01 4:59:28 AM

In what feels like the umpteenth Stooge western (unfortunately, there were more to come), we have the benefits of a hale'n'hearty Curly and better production values than the lower-budgeted followups, like THREE TROUBLEDOERS & OUT WEST. Unfortunately, Moe always seems a little uncomfortable in Wild West settings - his hair trigger temper always seems held in check. A Moe slow to anger is not a good thing, in case you were wondering.
