Topic: This is just too damned funny!

I was looking through the site's stats tonight (our traffic is really up lately!), and I noticed that the Yahoo! Slurp bot crawls the site a lot.  I decided to search Yahoo! for "three stooges" to see where we come up, which turns out to be third - just after the official web site and the Wikipedia entry for the Stooges.  Then I realized that there was a big red warning at the top of the page that read:

2 potentially harmful websites are marked on this page.  

It came with a triangular ALERT type icon which on mouseover indicates that the service is being provided by SearchScam Beta, powered by McAfee.  That sounds "official", doesn't it?

I damned near wet myself laughing when I glanced down the page and realized which sites were the ones I was being warned about.  Take a look at the screen shot attached.

Your right, that place is a joke. Just for the hell of it, I checked out the price for the Volume ll Stooge DVD due to come out soon. You can order it there for for $24.95. You can order it here for $5.00 cheaper. To top it off, I went and checked out their new improved Guestbook, to find out there is some clown posting under my name. One final thing , I would urge anyone interested in joining a Three Stooge fan club to join the one that is run by Gary Lassin through this web site. It is run by people that are real Stooge fans and not people out to make a fast buck.

Rob probably already knows this, but just in case he doesn't...

Amazon has a referral service where he can set up on account on Amazon and earn a % of each sale everytime someone clicks through this site to Amazon and buys the item clicked on. It's not a lot, and it comes out of Amazon's pocket (it doesn't raise the price to you), but after a while it adds up and could help contribute to the website costs.

Dear Sir: (Jazz Bill):

Sir I just would like to say that I agree with you 100%.  The com site is in it for a quick dollar.  I use to post there sir until I found this site and I am glad that I found this one.  Sir when I decided to leave the other site they were at the time letting them make pornographic gestures to one another. 

Sir in closing I just have to say that this is the only real Three Stooges Site.  Thank you sir for posting my thoughts exactly.

Not only what is mentioned above, but the .com site has a lot of spelling errors on it, which means it's not a reliable site, but it does provide a link to soitenlystooges.com, which is an excellent online Stooges store.
