yogi Berra has passed away.  He may be gone, but he has left us a legacy of legendary play and wit.

R.I.P. Yogi.  His era of players won't be around much longer, and he was one of the best.

One of the few Yankees that I actually liked. RIP...

Talbot's body is the perfect home for the Monster's brain, which I will add to and subtract from in my experiments.

Even an ignoramus such as I knows who Yogi was, and appreciates his contributions to the language.  I also respect his status among memorable baseball players, of course.

Rest in peace, Lawrence.

I just learned that Yogi served the USA during the War.  He was among the forces on the water during D-Day.  Impressive.

I've always wondered if Yogi Bear was named after Berra.

According to what I read - - and I can't remember where I read it - - yes, the bear was named after the man as a humorous tip of the hat.
