Topic: Where were YOU 20 years ago today?

I was watching the NBA Finals at a California Casino while participating in a Poker tournament when the white Bronco appeared on a split screen. As details unfolded it was the first time that I realized he really did it.

I was between my Freshman and Sophomore year in high school, playing bass and trespassing through a golf course with friends to walk to a record store.  Back in the days when you physically bought music.  The record store's now gone, my hairline partially gone, and my bass playing much better.

Has it really been 20 years already? Time flies--I don't remember exactly where I was, but I remember being glued to the tv screen when it all went down....

As a snotty high school kid at the time, I remember delivering my verdict in English class, "I don't know and I don't care."  It was the first time in my life when I realized the media will harp on things that are distractions and do not matter in our lives. 

Obviously sucks for those personally involved, it sucks for O.J. fans, but beyond that?  Overkill.

That's right Metal. I believe it was the one-two punch of Rodney King and OJ that kicked off that the paparazzi mania. Add to that the internet and camera phones and the country we grew up in is long gone.

I was in my bedroom in a residence different from where I live now when I saw the chase take place.
