Animation historian Jerry Beck of CartoonBrew.com reports that voice and character actor Dallas McKennon died today, July 14, at his Oregon home.  Mr. McKennon was a few days short of his 90th birthday.

Dal costarred in HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL (1959) as the voice of the Unicorn.  He also costarred with Fess Parker on the 1960s TV series DANIEL BOONE, and many baby-boomers "know" him as the voice of Gumby.  Beck's tribute lists many more voice-over credits in Dal's long career.
