IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD drove me Mad waiting patiently for the Stooges the first time I watched it, and to top it off it was a 3 second scan.  Now that's a cameo!!  Oh well, still a good movie.

Thanks for the post!

Can someone tell me why there's been such a TV drought.  Can we put some pressure on SpikeTV?  They refuse to answer my emails about this?

I think the main reason is because the stooges are hard to show on TV since each short is around 17 minutes. One short every half hour can lead to excessive commercials. This was the problem Spike TV was facing. And three shorts every hour can lead to excessive editing. This was the problem The Family Channel was facing. AMC was the perfect channel to air the stooges, but they’re not a commercial-free station anymore. So, the only channel left is TCM. Let’s hope that they'll consider airing the stooges sometime in the future.

I never thought of that before but you could be right. In Chicago they run 5 shorts in TWO hours every Saturday night. That allows them to show them without commercials in the middle of the shorts. They do put a little filler in between the shorts. Stuff like letters or trivia questions.

Commercials were abundant when the Stooges were on AMC. They need to go to another station or TCM.

I wonder when Spike's contract ends.

Hi JazzBill,

What station in Chicago and what time?   I'm real close (about 60 miles).  Maybe I can use an antenna.

Thanks.
