Whoa!  Great find, Jim.  My Dad's got a few old tapes of Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen, Amos and Andy, and The Bickersons, but this site's pretty awesome.  Will have to do some digging around.

Holy shit, they got Abbott and Costello with Bela Lugosi!

Yeah, when I'm not screening movies (my new job, not as fun as it sounds but it beats real work) or listening to Howard Stern et. al. I'm over there combing through that extensive library.

I'll have to check out that link when I get a chance, James.

I'm going to have to check this when I get home tonight.  Do they have episodes from the old "CBS Radio Mystery Theater"?

Back in the 70's, when I first got out of the Army, I lived for a while in a rooming house where I didn't have access to a TV - just an AM radio (and a lot of books.)  I used to listen to the CBS Radio Mystery Theater program every night before going to bed.

Talkin' about old time radio shows-- did the Stooges ever make any appearances as guests on any radio shows and if so, are any in existance for collectors?

I got into the old-time radio when my brother, sister, & I began transfering home movies from the 1920's-1970's from film to DVD's. (Actually, we just gathered up the films and financed the project as gifts for birthdays & holidays).

But they are still silent until I "marry" a suitable soundtrack and a silent film onto a new DVD. I've got the equipment (finally!) to do it, I just haven't had the time.

And I won't anytime soon as we try to get Mom into the 1990's with 2008 computer technology. The hope is that we can help her with running the household at minimal expense. I'll be the "tutor".

"Mom, that is your cursor. Spelled with an 'o'. Soon you will be a curser. Spelled with an 'e'"!
