PENN & TELLER'S PHOBOPHILIA: THE LOVE OF FEAR

Air Date/Released Sunday, January 1, 1995
Station/Studio CBS / Syndicated
Host/Star Penn Jillette & Raymond Teller

1-hour television special featuring the comedy and magic of Penn & Teller on a theme of "phobophilia," the love of fear.

In a sketch tribute to The Three Stooges, Jillette is a bombastic boss who hires three incompetents for a construction project. Stooge antics are exaggerated with the real consequence of "blood and splatter," especially after Larry and Curly push Moe down onto a buzzsaw. Kari Coleman is Moe, David Strickland is Curly, and Teller is Larry. The silent Teller disguises his face with props and a dust mask, and his dialog is provided by an off-screen Billy West.

Cast: Penn Jillette, Raymond Teller, Kari Coleman, David Strickland, Paul Provenza, Billy West

Crew: Declan Lowney (Director), Penn Jillette, Raymond Teller (Writers, Executive Producers), Heather Hampson (Executive Producer), Cathy A. Cambria, Alan Marke (Producers)
