One of the boy's all-time best, if not the best. All three are at the top of their game here. Great plot, the interaction between them is smooth, and Larry gets a little bit more of the spotlight. The bedroom scene with the ants, and the buffet scene are classic Stooges.

If people don't have pest then you give them pest. Ants, mice and moths all through the houses. What a concept & what a brilliant short by the stooges. Almost equal in quality to its remake Pest Man Wins.
The first short directed by Jack White as Preston Black and he did a great job with this & several others during the 1936 season.
3 1/2 pokes

Actually this has turned out to be one of my more favorite shorts. The scene where the mouse lands on Curly's head is a riot. The mouse is catapulted off of a guy's foot via a knee reflex, and the mouse lands on Curly's head. Actually, the mouse seems to "hover" over Curly's head before it lands. When Larry tries to whack the mouse off of Curly's head, the mouse "jumps" away leaving Curly's bare head to take the brunt of the hammer's blow. The fact that the "mouse landing" and "mouse jump" looks so fake and unnatural makes it all the more hilarious! That scene alone is worth 4 pokes!
