Star Bruce Campbell, and producers/writers the Raimis, are Three Stooges fans. Beginning with the 2nd season, episodes introduced Ash’s favorite beverage as a background in-joke and prop... “Shemp’s Beer.” Per the series backstory, “Shemp’s” is a brewing company founded and owned by the Shemp family since 1937.
The first episode with “Shemp’s” was the season 2 premiere on September 27, 2016, and could be seen until the series’ season 3 end in 2018.
