Featuring Miscellaneous Appearances
0 min. (Feature Film)
Unfilmed feature film script, written by Moe's grandson Jeffrey [Maurer] Scott. If produced, it would have featured Moe, Curly Joe and Emil Sitka; strangely, the script presents the Stooges as Moe, Larry and Curly.
It's World War II, and the Three Stooges are POWs in a Japanese prison camp located in the Philippines. The trio engineer an escape with the aid of two fellow prisoners, a Filipino guerilla leader and a female American intelligence agent. Joining the guerillas, the Stooges become involved in a plan to liberate the rest of the camp, and drive the Japanese from the town of San Vicente.
An overview of this unproduced script appears in The Three Stooges Journal # 129 (Spring 2009). As written, the comedy is a departure from the Stooges' typical fare, with dark-edged humor and scenes of war violence.
The script discussed in the Journal is located in the Stoogeum library, and is dated September 1970.
