Okay, I'm admittedly a little biased, but I love the "On This Date" feature, especially on the Home Page.  I find it fascinating to see who was born or died on this day, not to mention seeing what was going on with the Stooges.  And thanks to the hard work of our Master Stooges, I especially find it fascinating to see all kinds of actors and crew members that I never realized were associated with the Stooges in any way (although sometimes it might be a bit of a reach.  lol)

For example, I noticed that today is the anniversary of Nick Stewart's death at 90.  Nick appeared in a brief scene early in It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, where a couple moving to California in a truck full of their belongings gets run off the road, and of course the Stooges have a brief cameo as airport firemen in the same film.  I knew who he was as soon as I saw his picture, but being curious if he had any other Stooges connections I clicked to see his page on the Filmography, and discovered that he was famous as "Lightnin" on the Amos and Andy TV show in the 50s!  Then I clicked the IMDb link to find out more, and realized that he appears in a number of films that I've seen.  My favorite discovery was that he played Cookie's father in Robert Townsend's Hollywood Shuffle!  (I love that movie and have watched it at least a half dozen times, but I never made the connection.  Now I've got to watch it again!)  ;)

So now I'm curious, what is YOUR favorite feature on ThreeStooges.net?  And what is your biggest pet peeves about the site?   Inquiring minds want to know!   ;D

My favorite feature is going through all the films and getting production dates and (almost) complete casting for all the shorts.  Love clicking on a supporting actor and linking all the films they are in plus finding famous people you’d never think have a link to the boys.

I don't have permissions to start a review of any film, stooges or not.
When I search by title to find a review of a Stooge short, the main entry with reviews doesn't turn up. If I use the main site to find a short, clicking on "discuss in forum" usually works, but sometimes it does not, and brings me to the higher level page of all reviews.

Burt Lancaster was too short!

Give me a day or two.  I’ll try to get you permission to start new reviews.  I’ve been burnt out with reviews because I’ve did them for almost ten years straight - though I’m thinking of throwing in MEET THE BARON soon.  That said, I want the reviews section to continue and am happy people as of late are responding to stuff on this forum.  You are sure a knowledgable poster and reviews from you would be welcome.  Give me a few days and I’ll respond and let you know when it’s ready.

You can do one a week, one a year - whenever the spirit moves you.

I love everything about this site, it is undeniably the complete Three Stooges site.  My favorite feature, and I'm not being sycophantic or chauvinistic, and certainly not sarcastic ( in other words, I mean this ) is the erudition and sincerity and intelligence of the contributors.  The discussions on this site, IMHO, rival and often surpass any other cinema site out here.  My only complaint, and it's not even a complaint, more like Tops On My Wish List, is that the films were listed either chronologically or alphabetically.

Do you mean for the discussions here on the forum?  I can't change how the forum boards sort, but I bet that I can come up with a  workaround solution to that.

Yes, I'm talking about the film listings under The Curly Years, The Shemp Years, and The Joe and Curly Joe Years.  If you're looking for a specific film within those lists, it's pretty random.  Listing them either in chronological or alphabetical by title order would help a lot.  Being the next thing to computer illiterate as I am, I'm embarrassed to offer suggestions with no intelligent input, but since you asked.....

Actually, I've found that kind of annoying myself a few times.  My work around has been to find the film in the filmography and then click on the link on that film's page, but that's an admittedly clunky solution.

As I said, I can't really change the way that the forum sorts the boards, but I can create a simple cross-reference page that will make it easier to jump to the topic you want without having to search for it.  I've been toying with the idea for a while, and now that I know others would find it useful I'll put something together.  It shouldn't even take me that long - with any luck I'll launch it sometime this coming weekend.

It looks like the search function is fixed -- I just typed in the name of a Stooges short, and one of the results was the review thread for it. I swear this is the first time it has worked for me, since I usually get other results but not the review thread.

Thanks if you fixed it -- never mind if it was my mistake previously.
