We have a lot of death threads, but I thought a happy birthday thread is in order. Carla Laemmle turns 103 today. In addition to being the oldest living actress, she is the niece of Universal Studios founder Carl Laemmle. She appeared as a ballerina in the 1925 Lon Chaney PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and spoke the very 1st line in the 1931 Bela Lugosi DRACULA. She's still with us, so happy birthday to Ms. Laemmle.
