Jock Mahoney's TV series
YANCY DERRINGER (1958 - 1959) will be released to DVD on August 7.
The actor-stuntman costarred in the Stooges' OUT WEST (1947), SQUAREHEADS OF THE ROUND TABLE / KNUTZY KNIGHTS (1948 / 1954), FUELIN' AROUND / HOT STUFF (1949 / 1956) and PUNCHY COWPUNCHERS (1950). He achieved a modest level of fame after he left Columbia, starring in RANGE RIDER (1951) for Gene Autry Productions, and B-westerns and crime dramas. In 1962 and 1963 Mahoney starred as '
Tarzan' in two big-budget entries in the long-running movie series; earlier, John Carradine and Jock played the villains in a 1960 '
Tarzan.'
