Well you don't want Golson's booming bat to burn you. He did K Gardner.

I literally screamed, "OH MY GOD!" at the mere sight of Darnell McDonald.

We still need 3 outs, and it's not like we have anybody reliable on paper.  Fingers crossed, this will be a huge win.

Who's saving this shit?

Montero, Pena, Romine...I could save this one.

Montero's actually pretty good, not too worried about the other two.

Felix Doubront...solid AAA starter. Just got Montero to softly line out.

He actually saved a game or two last year.

Well, I'm doing my Sunday night tradition....Taco Bell.  Considering Ellsbury gave free tacos to America in '07, I feel this is a proper tribute.  Good night!

Ellsbury sure put his signature on this game. As an aside, I sent him a card to sign way back when he was in AA and he returned it signed a few weeks later. This was in 2006.

That's really awesome, man!

I have an autographed baseball card too, 1976 Topps, some guy named Aaron.

Other Boston players I have (all obtained via team addresses in 06/07)

Morales and Bard

Pedroia and Miller

Lars Anderson (at the time an elite hitting prospect)

Francona, and for good measure, Curt Schilling

Geez man, that's awesome.  The Aaron card is the only one I have autographed.....but you have a pretty impressive collection.

Between me and my Dad, we have some pretty interesting baseballs from card shows back in the 80's and early 90's.  Players I got autographs from by meeting include Warren Spahn, Don Larsen, Darryl Strawberry (was not very friendly back then), Dave Winfield (the exact opposite of Strawberry), Sam Horn, Jim Rice, Bobby Doerr, Hank Bauer, and Gregg Jeffries.

I also have a Sandy Koufax ball signed personally to me as my Dad used to work with one of his relatives, and I also have a Yaz autographed baseball.

Kofaux and Yaz are great ones to have. Of all the living HOFers, they're way up there in terms of difficulty. People won't get them unless they ridiculous prices at shows (triple digits, possibly). Bobby Doerr is the other side. Last I knew, he signs anything people send him. Probably for free (unlike the vast majority of HOFers). There isn't a collector out there that doesn't have him. Jim Rice isn't easy to get.

Of all the things I sent out, I probably got 60% back.

That about taps out my Boston stuff. It wasn't intentional, but I probably have more of their guys than most other teams.

For Boston fans, the euphoria from last night probably seems distant now.
