Radio and TV personality Art Linkletter passed away today at age 97. He was the host of the shows House Party and People Are Funny. House Party would later be revived as Kids Say the Darndest Things in 1998. Linkletter also endorsed the Milton Bradley board game Life and was featured on the game's $100,000 bills.

Art Linkletter had a couple of indirect Stooges connections:
He and Joe DeRita both appeared in the 1946 Paramount picture PEOPLE ARE FUNNY.
And Art's son Jack Linkletter had The Three Stooges and their families as guests on his 1960 television series ON THE GO.
