I just ran across a great YouTube contribution that features clips of (supposedly) all the ‘Fake Shemp’ appearances, specifically those by Joe Palma (and not just some generic stunt double). Just goes to show that there are some view-worthy things on YouTube!

As great of an advertisement for volume 8 as you'll ever find!   

Palma had a thankless job there, that's for sure, and he was a contract player who probably had no choice but to fill in for Shemp.  I wonder how Ed Wood's chiropractor would've fared in the role?
