A Stooge-a-Phile, that is. hee!
None of my friends dig the Stooges.
I say those lamebrains don't know what they're missin!:D
I think it may have something to do with the time period and the violence. My mother is a gory horror-movie buff, but she hates the Stooges! For 33 years, I've been hearing it! Maybe it is because women ( or any violence critic ) have difficulty seeing those antics taking place in a time when everyone was supposedly polite and morally-correct. Never mind that misogyny ran rampant then, and violence was just as common as it is now. Back then, dirty deeds were done more quietly, not spoken of, and therefore didn't become public knowledge the way it is now. If you notice, a lot of the urban/Black street vernacular of today is based on the everyday slang of the '30's and '40's, as heard in most of the Stooge shorts!
