I’m glad Catchy Comedy is bringing back the classic comedians, but who would, or could, watch the Stooges for almost 48 hours?
No one. The way I see it, it's like a 2 day buffet. One can pick and choose what to eat...primarily your true favorites. Occasionally, they roll out nothing but salad and Brussels sprouts, so you bail until the good meat balls are back. Sure, you get stuffed, but the second there's a hint of hunger, you're right back at it. After the 44 hours, it's back to sensible eating and exercise.
Unlike many here, I have a slight aversion to buying DVD collections. Knowing they are always there and available takes away the anticipation... at least for me. There's just something special about knowing there are others laughing at the same thing (at the same time) that enhances my viewing experience.
In closing, I will admit that most of the 'buffets' are like school cafeterias to me. It's a bit of an anomaly to have three straight weeks of world class chefs, but I'm gonna eat while it's hot.
