Does that mean that Spike TV is discontinuing the Stooges as of the Labor Day weekend, or is that just as far as their schedule goes right now?  (Just curious - I refuse to watch them on Spike TV because of the egregious way they present them.)

Spike's full press release, a couple months ago, indicated the daily schedule would run thru Labor Day weekend. Ratings performance could change those plans if warranted, but unless there's an official update, or the September schedule shows otherwise, I assume the original announcement stands.

I don't watch the stooges on Spike TV. I may have caught it on TV once or twice, but I have never watched the full hour on Spike TV. I always shut off my TV before it even ends because I get annoyed. It's not so much the excessive commercials that annoys me. It's the fact that they are showing the exact same shorts AMC showed. If they would show all 190 shorts or at least more than 130 shorts, then I would definitely watch it. The stooges don't get any respect when they are being released on DVD or when they are being shown on TV. It's really sad.

The only shorts I watch on SPIKE are the ones I haven't seen yet. I didn't get the chance to watch them on AMC. Does SPIKE have rights to "Studio Stoops"?

I've never seen it shown as I don't watch the stooges on Spike TV. However, they should have the rights. AMC showed that short. Spike TV has the same package as AMC. So, it's very likely that they have the rights.

As far as I know, Spike TV shows the shorts unedited except for a few shorts that were edited by the distributors.

I don't think you need any of these shorts. Spike TV shows only 130 shorts, which are all included in the complete Stooges DVD set.

Yeah, I have them, but I'm always looking for better video quality. Some of the shorts shown on Spike have a sharper picture than the same shorts on the DVD some of which came from VHS it seems.
