If Larry was the one who started having strokes and health issues in the mid 1940's would his illness be as noticeable as Curly's illness?

If you mean on screen I would say that with good editing (and stand-ins) it would have been barely noticeable. I can only think of a couple of episodes where Larry had a significant role.
