The Shemp solo film Invisible Woman (1940, Universal) is coming to Blu-Ray in two different packages on August 28.

It will be in the Invisible Man Legacy Collection, a four-disc set of Invisible Man films.

It will also be in a massive 24 disc, 30 film set of all the major Universal monster films.

Wow, not to be a smart-ass, but how much repackaging of the Universal Classics can they put out? At any rate, Invisible Woman wasn't great--even with Shemp--not unless, you really like the women in that movie.  ;)
Talbot's body is the perfect home for the Monster's brain, which I will add to and subtract from in my experiments.

To be fair, Invisible Woman has never been issued in any package on Blu-Ray prior to this. DVD, yes, but this will be its Blu-Ray debut. It will likely look better than ever.

Talk about strange timing!  Umbrella Sam has a blog where he reviews this film, and I just happened to watch and comment on it today.

May be my second favorite film in the series.

Thanks for passing along the review. It sounds like a fun enough flick. I've never seen Invisible Woman (or any of the films in the series) but I'll probably pick up the set at some point. Coming out in August, it may be ripe for a deep discount around Black Friday.

Solo Shemp on Blu-Ray is always welcome as far as I'm concerned...

While I had preordered this and The Creature Legacy Blu-ray sets, unfortunately due to our finances being so tight with expenses for our upcoming move next month, I had to cancel both for the time being! :(

Nan Grey's a real dish, along the lines of Toby Wing, in my opinion! I do hope to reorder the above sets, along with the Pitts/Todd/Kelly DVD Volumes, at some point, or at least put them on my Christmas Wish List!  Hey, it can't hurt....or can it?!!? [3stooges]

CHEERS! :)

If someone hasn't gotten the Invisible Man set, Amazon has the entire Universal Monsters Blu-Ray box set (30 films) for 69.99.

Stunned to see it so low this quick.... MSRP is $150 .... it's the top-seller on Amazon's sight right now.

I did eventually get The Invisible Man Legacy Collection Blu-ray set, and have viewed up to, and including The Invisible Woman (1940).  While I thought the special effects in the latter weren't quite up to the level of the first two films, the visual quality was in my opinion, quite good.  I also enjoyed the ending with its little twist.

CHEERS! [pie]
