The long awaited second volume of THE MACK SENNETT COLLECTION is coming soon.

Pre-orders are tentatively expected to live exclusively at http://www.CineMuseumLLC.com on May 15.

Stay tuned for updates here: http://www.silentcomedymafia.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2245

The planned lineup and series of extras are something of a silent comedy/early talkie comedy fan's dream... of particular note, THE GREAT PIE MYSTERY (1931), later remade as SPOOK LOUDER (1943).

I heard about this and will be buying.  Vol. 1 is great.

THE GREAT PIE MYSTERY supposedly is the original version of SPOOK LOUDER, directed by Del Lord, so some Stooge interest there.*

*....and reading further, I see you posted that.  [pie]

I want to add, the early Harold Lloyd stuff excites me as well.  Will be interesting to see a developing Lloyd working for Sennett.

Just saw a couple of these recently on TCM. Overall, I’m not a huge fan of Mack Sennett, but he could occasionally produce something that was really fun to watch (I especially liked A LIFE IN THE BALANCE).
