Not really a bad episode but definitely one of the more forgettable Stooge shorts, I agree Curly does look healthier and more energetic here than he did in many of the Stooge shorts of this period

Your statement makes me wonder... if Curly had gotten his personal problems sorted out, would he have recovered and been able to return his old self?  Yes, he would have still been limited by age, but still...

When you're remaking one of Buster Keaton's worst Columbia shorts, you know you're in trouble. Not even Curly in his prime could have redeemed this clunker.

We're back to "sick-era" Curly for my #169 ranked short, "Uncivil War Birds."  Actually, Curly is only off just a bit here, but still noticeable.  My main problem is that this short is just too dull.  The boys did the Civil War much better in other films.
