Yes, the way things have went, it seems almost shocking that a "home team" actually won a game--although the Cards appear to be on their way to victory.

Cubs had a great Wild Card game, but going up against the Cards is another thing, entirely--I know some people might be a little sick of the Cardinals, but you can't deny their greatness...

And here's hoping Clayton Kershaw's October woes continue later tonight....

All due respect, these last few years, it seems like it's either the Cards, or the bloody Giants! Even the Yankees have taken a backseat in recent years!

I mean, if the Jays can't advance, at least they've been to the World Series (And won!) since the advent of Color Television! After 70 years, haven't the poor Cubs fans suffered enough (Including Steve Bartman!)?

The LA Dodgers... what a joke... they spend money more maniacally than the Yankees and Red Sox, and they have an ace pitcher who chokes worse in the playoffs than Peyton Manning.

I actually agree with you regarding this, Paul. I mean, the Dodgers World Series drought is longer than the Toronto Blue Jays (Though not the Cubs--That's just beyond sad!), and how many times have they been to the playoffs just in recent years?

I know I feel good, especially being at home. But they are the Cubs , I learned a long time ago to not get too overconfident.

At least with the series tied and the Cubs playing the next two at home, they have a reasonable shot, not like the Blue Jays, who dropped two straight at home, and are in danger of being swept! Only two MLB teams that dropped the first two home games have ever overcome such a deficit in a best of five situation!

Besides, getting to the World Series has been the Cubs real nemesis!

A perfect World Series matchup would be the Astros vs. the Cubs. Just 10 years ago, the White Sox ended an 87-year championship drought by beating Houston, so maybe the Cubbies could do the same.

And how about Chutley taking out Tejada last night? And not only that, but the replay showed that Tejada never touched the base so the call was overturned. Both events would never have occurred had Chutley still been with the Phillies. Also, Little Jimmy is just 0-for-1. "We're the team to beat," he said.

Breaking news during the Jays/Rangers game--Utley suspended for games 3 & 4 of the Dodgers/Mets series. So, whether or not that's the end of it, who knows. Maybe Matt Harvey will still take it upon himself to drill one of the Dodgers tomorrow night. At any rate, good call by MLB in my book....

It's one game, but I like how Toronto bounced back tonight, with solid starting pitching (Finally!) from Marco Estrada (Who's undeservedly underrated, in my opinion!), and the Jays offence exercising more of the patience at the plate that gave them the Major League lead in Bases on Balls this year. I also loved how Troy Tulowitzki connected after having been 0-11 earlier on in this series!

So far, the Road Warriors have owned this ALDS. May that trend continue for just one more game!

Tomorrow's Game Time For Toronto At Texas (The Ballpark in Arlington.): 4 PM.

Well, Toronto has now evened their ALDS with Texas at deuces. It seemed to me, the only reason Gibbons removed R.A. Dickey when he did (After 4 2/3 innings), was to allow David Price the chance to get the W! Hopefully, the Home Team can win the decider, which starts at the Rogers Centre Wednesday afternoon at 4PM!

What an unbelievable choke job on the part of Houston, with an epic collapse by their bullpen, which allowed KC to avoid elimination and tie their ALDS at two wins apiece!

The Blue Jays ultimate surrender of the AL Home Field advantage to the Royals may come back to bite, yet! Of course, they have to beat the Rangers on Wednesday, first!

With a 2-1 NLDS lead, the Chicago Cubs are giving the heavily favored St. Louis Cardinals a good run for their money! The Cubbies are also my sentimental NL favorites.

Finally, the Dodgers are living up (Or down?) to their typical perennially underachieving post season status, currently getting pummeled by the Mets in Game 3 of their NLDS, by a 10-3 score!

Yippy skippy! I can honestly say I'm OK with any of the seven remaining teams winning. No Yankees, no Cardinals, no Giants, some relatively new blood.

For Cubs fans, while not quite as dramatic as winning after being down three games to zero, as a Red Sox fan, I know what it's like to have a ridiculous dry spell and eliminate your more decorated arch nemesis in the playoffs. It's an awesome feeling. Sleep well tonight, Cubs fans.

In my opinion, it's nice to see the Cubs wrap up their NLDS at Wrigley, which had never previously been witness to a post season clinching victory in their century long history. Chicago is also the only team to not have had to play the full 5 games (Needing just 4, after dropping the opener!) in advancing to the League Championship Series, as incredible as that may seem!

I do find it refreshing that most of the usual post season suspects have been eliminated. Besides Toronto, I'm still hopeful that Houston can pull out a win in their rubber match with KC tomorrow, though blowing that huge lead late in Game 4 had to have been a rather devastating blow for them!

Yes, I agree Tony that Houston has to be a bit deflated emotionally, being 6 outs away from advancing to the ALCS, and "royally" blowing it--pardon the pun.

I can't say I'm rooting for any particular team in the American League--but as the playoffs as a whole are concerned--it's nice to have mostly "new blood" left in the playoffs...
