The WCIU in the corner makes me wonder if this may have been from an appearance on the local Chicago Three Stooges show in the late 1950s/early 1960s (Granger seemed to have retired sometime around the early 1960s judging by her known film appearances, so it at least should be from that time period). Granted, the WCIU only means that they showed this photo on that station sometime later, though I could imagine the only reason they’d have it is if it was from a local appearance.

This is a doctored mish-mash of one of DeRita's solos and a Stooges short. I feel like I've seen this on DeviantArt, and presume a user there made it in Photoshop.

(As for the shorts used, I wanna say THE GOOD BAD EGG and perhaps PARDON MY BACKFIRE?)

Well, I certainly feel like an idiot now. Guess I should have noticed that from the fact that DeRita still has some hair. Thanks for clearing this up, GreenCanaries.

Now I can see it's a fake.  I originally thought it might be
from some personal appearance, and Joe was wearing
a toupee.
