LOL, that's funny. Actually, I've been to Cleveland once when a couple of buddies and me rode to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. We happened to pick a day when all the public school kids from Cleveland were taking free tours. It was wall to wall kids that had no interest in rock and roll whatsoever. What a waste that turned out to be. Then when we went back to get our bikes someone had slit my buddies front tire. I hope Cleveland gets knocked out in the first round.

I'm not exactly a fan of the rock 'n roll hall of fame, but that said it's quite sad not a single kid had interest in rock, like it's some dusty museum piece.  Rock is truly dead as a young person's phenomenon, but I guess it's hard to rebel for these kids when their Dads listen to Slayer.  Best to find harder drugs and porn, I guess.  I saw the Metallica movie premier in an IMAX theater this past Friday.  The place was half full, and the only under thirty somethings in the place were there with their somewhat milfish mother.  The film was awesome, but Metallica being for the middle aged depresses me.  Oh well, it's da yoot's loss.

Great job by Price today going the distance. I'll make my picks round by round: Pittsburgh tomorrow and Cleveland on Wednesday.

I'm loving the "Cueto" chant they have going in Pittsburgh tonight...

I'm not usually one to second guess Tito, but Danny Salazar to start today?

I love Tito, but I've also been second guessing him for years in certain scenarios, and this is definitely one of those times. Tampa's the last team I want Boston to face.  A steady diet of David Price, no thanks.

I know exactly what the thought process was, he was thinking ahead to Boston. Well they haven't earned the right to think ahead to Boston, they have to beat Tampa first. Why Masterson was not on the mound today I'll never know.

Don't ask me why, but Masterson was pitching out of the bullpen in September.  His last start was August 28th.

....and Masterson in the 7th as a reliever.  Guess he was never an option?

Okay I figured it out. Masterson just recently came back from an oblique strain and was put into a relief role, hence why we saw him in the 7th. I still don't get why the rookie Salazar was starting that game. Corey Kluber would have been a better option for a winner-take-all-loser-go-home. He's had more than twice as many starts than Salazar has this season (i.e. Salazar's career) and would have been pitching on four days rest. Not that it would have mattered anyway with the way the Rays shut them down like they were the Government.

No man, you're absolutely right on all accounts.  I too was shocked to see a rookie with two career wins in there starting a loser goes home game, but it is what it is.  I just hope Boston can get to these top tier Tampa pitchers.  They've faced Price four or five times this year and don't ever remember them scoring more than two runs.

We touched him up for 4 runs on 5 hits in 2.1 innings on May 15. Don't forget we have a hell of team, better than Cleveland and even better than Tampa. We can take these fools and tell their fare-weather, bullshit Florida baseball fans to shove it. That city does not deserve that team.

Oh, my predictions: St Louis over Pittsburgh in 4, Los Angeles over Atlanta in 4, Boston over Tampa Bay in 4 and Oakland over Detroit in 5 after O.co's sewage system explodes during Game 5, taking out half of the Tigers in the process.

Me too, but unfortunately, I won't be able to watch today's Red Sox game because of work.  This 3:00 start time is bullshit.

Who's Matt Moore? Just some overrated Tampa Bay Bitch that got roughed up for 5 runs on 6 hits in a 10 batter 4th. Nice play by Myers though, ha!

Yeah they're trying to give every game a chance in the spotlight, but the Boston game should be later.

Oh, yeah?  Well, when that happened, I had fun discussing finance with the public.  Red Sox nation envies me!

I like the results, and I'm about to watch that Myers play.

As for Matt Moore, he's a talented kid, just not today, thank da Lawd.

This Dodgers/Braves game today is a good game....finally.  4 - 3 middle of the 8th as I type this.

Adrian Gonzalez strikes out in an important game as the tying run.  Memories!

....and Carl Crawford strikes out to end it.  What a great day as a Sox fan.  This is the first season of his career where he did not kill Boston.

Orsillo and Eck should be calling the Red Sox series, not Det/Oak.

You Boston fans must be pretty happy with the way your sports teams are rolling along. The Red Sox coming out strong and the Pats still being undefeated.

Hey now, it's not like we didn't suffer through bowls and bowls of gruel to get our steak dinners. The Red Sox and the crushing, "close but no cigar" defeats, the Patriots and years of ineptitude with a couple years of brilliance here and there...we earned this sports Utopia era and have the emotional scars to prove it. In fact, I do recall the Bears giving us one of those scars back in early '86.

Nice start to this one with Jacoby and Papi produciing two quick runs off of the Rays' legit great starter, let's hope this keeps up. I hope you're getting to watch this one, Doug.
