Three Stooges Mask?

I've often wondered about that smiley face mask that's been shown in the credits of The Three Stooges.  Does anyone know the origin of this thing?

I'd actually be interested in getting one.  I think it would be a neat thing to hang on a wall, within a collection of Stooge memorbilia.  Thoughts?

The tragedy and comedy mask, called Janus Masks, symbolize theater and date back to ancient Greece (around 500 B.C.). During that period, actors were all male and played several roles in one play. They wore different masks to show character and mood change.

Interesting information.  Thanks!

More specifically, I'm interested in getting one like that particular one used in the Stooges credits.

As far as actually getting a mask, it seems like if you type "comedy mask" on amazon or eBay a lot of things show up.  It depends on how cheap or expensive you want to go.

A menu for a pizza place in my hometown has the masks, so I used to view the masks in the Stooge shorts as a kid as the same as the place where I ate pizza.  Good pizza too, Delaware, where I live now, doesn't have a place that comes close.
