CBS News and the L.A. Times report the death of Patty Andrews of The Andrews Sisters.  She was 94.

Shemp Howard shared billing with the sisters in Abbott & Costello's BUCK PRIVATES (1941), IN THE NAVY (1941) and HOLD THAT GHOST (1942).  He also costarred with them in HOW'S ABOUT IT? (1943), PRIVATE BUCKAROO (1942) and MOONLIGHT AND CACTUS (1944).

In memory of Patty and her sisters I just put on Abbott and Costello's In The Navy. RIP Patty.

Sorry to hear about this.  I've been collecting their original 78rpm records over the last year.  I just love their vocal harmonies.  I have the Abbott & Costello box, which has them in several movies, especially "Buck Privates."

I wonder if they'll get a "boogie woogie bugle boy" to play at her funeral...
