Comedy Shorts Coming Back - Moe Predicts - July 28 1953

Here is an interesting story from 1953; by then the Stooges were among the last to still be making comedy shorts

Very cool article, thanks for sharing. I wonder if one of the times that Moe says he was "nearly blinded" was when he was looking in that exhaust pipe and one of the boys started up the car and it shot black soot like material all over his face. I always wondered how his eyes handled that. The things these guys went through is just incredible, from a pure safety perspective.
I actually believe that Shemp, Larry, and Curly quite literally gave their lives for their comedy. They got slapped so many times that it's entirely plausible that their brain related deaths (Larry and Curly for sure, jury is out on Shemp - I've read both heart attack and Brain Aneurysm or something like that many times each) were a consequence of the head beatings they took, just like what happens to many boxers.
