Frantic one-reeler from 1932 with Al St John and directed by Fatty Arbuckle. Look for Stooge supporting player Lynton Brent.

I may have posted this one ages ago, but it's worth a double post and it is indeed one of my all-time favorite shorts by anybody.  Everybody should watch this one, and it's been so long for me I'll watch it again tonight.

Thank God he didn't unplug the radio, burying it is much funnier.

Al St. John is a comic genius for this one short alone.  3:35!

It has a lot going for it. One wishes St. John made more sound-era shorts and that more of Arbuckle's sound-era credits were available.

Yes, I believe this was posted before. I recall also posting several quotes from reviews and from the Educational Press Material for the short.

Thanks!  Really need to check out Alpha's comedy collection because I have tons of old Bela Lugosi and other assorted black and white horrors from them.  Those oldies.com catalogs are always fun to look at.

The video quality of Alpha material isn't always great, but their stuff is cheap enough that it doesn't matter. They have released a lot of stuff that wouldn't sniff a release otherwise.
