Has anyone seen this Frank Capra film?
It was recently released on DVD/Blu-Ray, which is impressive as most black and white films now get dumped on overpriced, no-frill DVD-Rs. A major restoration was done to LADY FOR A DAY, which saw its original elements lost in the 1950s. In 1977, Capra made a 35m dupe negative from his personal print. Originally released on DVD in 2001, that copy is long OOP, and this new one was restored and features 4 minutes of footage not in the prior release.
Leonard Maltin raves about the film in a blog entry posted earlier today (
