Hello everyone...so I ve been losing my mind lately recently becoming unemployed. In my free time I like to draw and do paintings (which I sometimes sell) and I am fascinated with the comedy of the 30s 40s and 50s. I was thinking of doing a piece that would include caricatures of all the best film comedians from that era (sort of in the style of Hirschfield). Obviously Stooges will be featured if I do this...and I was also going to include the Marx Bros, L&H, A&C, Chaplin, Keaton, and Fields. Am I missing anyone? Any other suggestion for comedians worthy enough to be included? Thanks.

You say 30's 40's and 50's, so I'll stick with sound comedians.

Well, Hope and Crosby should get a shot, and while I'm not a fan Martin and Lewis were huge box office in the late 40's - mid 50's.  Wheeler and Woolsey were very big in the 30's too.  Depends on how deep you wanna go, but the teams I mentioned were big box office draws.  Your personal taste may vary.

Best of luck with the job search, I know it's tough out there.
