Cartoonist Bil Keane passed away yesterday at age 89. He is best known for his comic strip The Family Circus, which debuted in 1960.

He was a phellow Philadelphian.  I've always enjoyed The Family Circus, as that has always been a lot funnier than some of the alleged comic strips around these days.  RIP, Bil.

Family Circus is the worst comic strip ever conceived.

It could have been better with Curly or Shemp instead of Derita.  :(

Probably was that way because it came out when they were doing the derita movies?

expression too.

Family Circus is the worst comic strip ever conceived.

I'd agree with this if not for the existence of Funky Winkerbean.
