Home today, after another Abbott & Costello Cruise, 10/1 - 10/8. A great group of friends and fans joined Costello family members Chris Costello (Lou's youngest daughter), Sherry & Gary Saxe (Sherry is Lou's niece, his wife Ann's sister's daughter), Susan & Dave Dowding (Sue is Lou's niece, Pat Costello's daughter), and Pat Rege (widow of Lou's cousin Lou Rege).
The 2011 cruise started with some of us meeting one day prior in Boston and seeing some sites (Cheers, Fenway, JFK Museum, Salem MA), and Oct. 1 the entire group boarded Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. Itinerary included visits to the sites and shops of Portland ME, Bar Harbor ME; Canada ports St. John NB, and Halifax Nova Scotia; plus, two days at sea.
Private group screenings on 2 nights of THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES (1946) and A&C MEET JERRY SEINFELD (1994), followed by Q&A sessions. Naturally, the ship provided it's own full schedule of shows, food, musical performers, food, bars/nightclubs, food, casino, food, movies, etc. And a lot of food.
It was a great followup to the first event in October 2009, when we cruised from NJ to Bermuda.
Pretty confident that another trip will happen in 2013. If that decision is made (mid-2012, maybe earlier), I'll post it here.
