A Stooges connection...
 
As staff writer on Bob Hope's radio show, Sherwood Schwartz co-created the man-chasing, ugly duckling characters of 'Brenda & Cobina', played by Blanche Stewart and Elvia Allman. As those characters, Stewart and Allman appeared opposite the Stooges in TIME OUT FOR RHYTHM (1941).

On a related note, one of Alan Hale Jr.'s first roles was a bit part in TIME OUT FOR RHYTHM.
