Leonard Stern announced his death today. He was 87.

His writing credits also include three Abbott & Costello movies, AFRICA SCREAMS (1949), ABBOTT & COSTELLO IN THE FOREIGN LEGION (1950) and LOST IN ALASKA (1952). Stern produced and wrote several classic TV series during the 1960s and 1970s, including GET SMART, I'M DICKENS... HE'S FENSTER, HE & SHE, McMILLAN & WIFE, THE GOOD GUYS, etc.
