The thread title is wrong. I'm not a celeb. My husband was. But you know me from his movie biography. You are familiar with the woman who played me. She was hot but not as hot as me. It's very unusual for that to occor.

My husband was not a movie/TV person, but quite famous in his field. We were both from NY City. The rat bastard was 10 years older than me, but I'm dead and he lives on!

I may have missled you....he was not an actor but he DID appear on TV on a fairly regular basis in the 50s, and in about 15 movies over the years.

By the way, I am known by many. The release of the bio movie I mentioned brought me quite a bit of notice. Interviews, magazine articles and such. I think I was on Tom Snyder's show once, but being dead my memory is pretty much shot.

I see I'm gonna have to give you a little more: My hubby met me when I was 15, but I was a KNOCKOUT! The man @ 25 never had a chance. I matured at the age of 12. He at about 50.

Was that last post really necessary, Boid? We managed to have this forum going for 10 years without the need for a rule requiring NSFW warnings, at least until you started posting here, and now you are doing it repeatedly.  If you are that interested in displays of the female form, there are plenty of existing porn sites that you could post at, so why do you continue to feel the need to post these here?

I must have misunderstood. Why make rule #11 if you don't want ANY pretty nude photos? This is the 1st one I have posted for 2 weeks and only the 2nd in a month since the rule was instituted. I estimate I average about 4 posts a day, so 2 in a month doesn't seem exessive.

This is predominately an adult male site and and my thinking is that an occasional nude VINTAGE celebrity photo is enjoyable, and a curiosity. I don't think the word Pornography applies in any way to these harmless tit shots.

But of course Dun, it's your site and your call. You say no more and that will be the end of it.

My point is that we didn't even need a rule for 10 years.  No one felt a need to post nudie pictures on this site in all that time.  I guess I look at it kind of like putting your feet up on the dinner table; there's nothing inherently wrong with it, but it's still inappropriate.

Predominately, yes, but by no means exclusively.  We have a number of women participating here, not to mention quite a few teens.

My point is that while I don't have a major problem with the occasional nude picture, when it's appropriate to a thread, I don't see why that picture was necessary or appropriate.

Boid- You need to keep in mind that many people visit this site from work. If this continues on, I may not be able to visit here during the day when I'm at work since your frequent nude pictures has deemed this site inappropriate to view at work. Sure, you and I view these pictures as "harmless," but many of our bosses will not consider them as such. Maybe in your work environment, viewing these pictures on the company's internet is acceptable, but it sure as hell ain't acceptable where I work.

And yes, you are posting these frequently because like Rob said, in many years, this issue has never occurred before. Since you've joined, we've encountered this problem twice in one month.

And you also need to understand that many kids do watch the stooges and I'm sure many of them visit here. So, you should be mindful of that.

Xraffle you are opening up a whole can of worms here. I have never understood the fear of kids seeing or reading "adult" stuff. I found my Dad's Playboy stash when I was 10 and it didn't mean a thing. Didn't hurt me of my friends when I showed to them, or when they showed me theirs.

Furthermore, where do you think I found that photo of Vicki LaMotta? On a porn site? I found it on a simple Yahoo search, on the Yahoo page. I wasn't redirected anywhere else.... Any kid can just type in TUBE 8 and immediately get hard core Porn for free.

As far as work goes, the warning is there NSFW so what's the problem there?

I've posted on this board for over a decade.  I have occasionally made sexually related comments that I wish I never said if only because there are women and teens on these boards and I need to grow up and be more respectful of that.  I'm in my thirties now and am trying to improve on such things.  It's all part of growing up, I guess, something we all should strive for at some point.

I have flirted with the idea of starting a thread where we discuss best looking celebrities long before you posted here, Boid.  I don't recall doing it.  The reason is because it could easily go into porn, and this ain't the sight for that.  

I've been here over ten years, have been allowed to become a moderator, and still feel it's not my place to even to have a regular stream of SI swimsuit style pics, not out of any moral objection to such things, but more so out of a basic understanding for the idea of this being the wrong place.  Just basic common sense.  You've been here a few months and are already comfortable enough to place a daily stream of t&a ogling with the occasional forays into nudity, the first poster ever to do so.  Enough said.

Sometimes you really are dense, Boid, or maybe you just have a lower sense of decorum than the rest of us do here.

When you posted the first nude picture of Liz Taylor, I didn't come down on you because I had never established a rule on the subject before since no one - not even the most obnoxious trolls that we've endured here - ever had the poor taste to start posting them on this site.  Also, the picture was pretty artsy and tasteful, showing Taylor at the height of her youthful beauty, so it was reasonably appropriate to that thread. 

Since the NSFW issue came up right away due to that picture, I established rule 11 to cover those situations if something similar came up again.  I tried to allow a little leeway, but obviously I shouldn't have.  I have just modified rule 11; "nudie" pictures are not allowed on this site.  This is not subject to debate.

I'm just going to add that I was the one who closed the thread and not Rob. We usually do not step on each other's toes when one is dealing with a moderating situation but I am doing so to address people doing just that. I am not going to point the finger or call anyone out but I think Rob had the situation well in hand (I was going to PM him to suggest changing the rules to "no nudes" before I saw that he did) and I hardly think he needed any help.

Leave the discipline to those of us who went to Ilsa Disciplinary School (Rob class of 78, Doug class of 98 and myself no class at all).
