Los Angeles PBS station KCET-TV, which resides in the former [remaining] Monogram Studios, is relocating to a more state-of-the-art facility. It has been sold to The Church of Scientology.

KCET-TV Sells Studio

And...

Word is circulating from a reliable inside source that Grauman's Chinese Theatre (which has quietly been on the market for about a year) has just been sold. It will be converted into a nightclub. What this bodes for the fate of the historic forecourt and the interior restorations is unknown at this time.

The Chinese Theatre will host many TCM Film Festival events over the next week, so more details will probably come to light soon.

Edit...
The aforementioned source (a member of the Hollywood Heritage Museum) has retracted the above information. Yes, Grauman's has been sold... but, it's future is undetermined; for now, it appears it will remain a movie theatre.

Truly bad news, especially the Monogram location. Whatever became of the old Selznick/RKO studio's after Desilu? And what about Republic Studio's? Are they also gone with the wind?

Whatever became of the old Selznick/RKO studio's after Desilu?

Merged with next-to-door neighbor Paramount, after Lucy sold Desilu to Paramount in 1967.

And what about Republic Studio's?

Doing business since 1961 as CBS Studio City.
