I've just installed (and tweaked) the Thread Bookmarks mod to the message boards.  This feature lets you bookmark favorite threads and jump back to the newest posts in those threads.

To use the feature, click the "Bookmarks" button at the top and bottom of the thread.  Click the "Bookmarks" button again to eliminate the bookmark.
