Posting that beautiful pic of Helen Miren reminded of the movie that I saw her in for the 1st time...she must have been about 43.

For those of you unfamiliar, this is a ghastly film. When I rented it back in '89 I had no idea what it was. Most of it is on this You Tube....the sections that are missing don't matter much.

Liz: this film is NOT for you. I have read dozens of reviews on this movie and they all give it big props. I was so stunned by it that it took about a week to decide if I liked it or not.

I'm watching right now, about halfway through it and I wouldn't call it "ghastly". It's not great either but certainly is interesting.

I'm considering Television, Film, and New Media with an emphasis in Critical Studies if I don't get into the English major after my sophomore year, because it is impacted.
